Welcome To Coleraine Rugby Football & Cricket Club Online
It is my privilege to be President of this remarkable club for the 2012-2013 season, following in the footsteps of Willie Duffin.
Coleraine RFC has a long history of rugby success at junior level and this continued last season with the 1st XV squad reaching the final of the Junior Cup and the semi-final of the All-Ireland Junior Cup. We finished just outside the top four in the Junior League. The 2nd XV won the Crawford Cup and finished second in their league.
We are delighted that Kenny Calladine is to be 1st XV rugby captain for the 2012-2013 season and I wish coaches Stevie Richie and Richard Beggs success for this new season.
I know that I can rely on the support of the Ulster Branch IRFU to help by assisting in the release of players as and when needed and with the administration of fixtures, referees etc. I invite you to visit us regularly and enjoy the Coleraine experience.
Not only are we a Rugby Club we are also a successful Cricket Club, each week turning out up to four winning teams to compete across the province and further afield. Ladies Hockey is another important part of the club setup and during the season they compete in leagues and cups with great success.
One of the most important aspects of our club is the vibrant mini and youth section activity across all sports. Every week throughout the year hundreds of children and young people enjoy their sport, in training and competition, learning to love their chosen sport and becoming the adult players of tomorrow. The successful adult teams across the club are testament to the success of this policy.
Our continuing success is attributed to the efforts of a small band who carry out their duties with pride and endeavour.
Our playing and training facilities are second to none and will be the envy of most.
We welcome all to Rugby Avenue and I am sure you will be treated to good, entertaining and winning sport.
Finally, a big thank you to all our sponsors, without whom we could not continue and develop our sports in Coleraine.
