COLERAINE Rugby Club is looking forward to a fantastic celebration of rugby talent at the weekend. The highlight of the weekend will be the appearance of the Fourths against Grosvenor Seconds at Ravenhill in the final of the Foster Cup. The match kicks off at 1.00pm and a large travelling support is expected. Following the match the team will be returning to Coleraine, hopefully with the Cup, and an evening of entertainment awaits them and all club members and guests. Live music in the club will make sure that everyone has a great evening. Buses have been arranged and those wishing to travel with the club can get full details in the clubhouse. Buses will leave the club at 10.30am. The cost of £15 includes a rugby tea on return to Coleraine. On Friday afternoon at 3.00pm there is an Under 16 match between Coleraine and a touring team from Liverpool. After the match the team and supporters will be entertained at the clubhouse. Saturday morning sees the first of two days of the annual Coleraine Festival of Rugby for the Mini Maxi section. On Saturday between 9.30am and 4.00pm the maxi, P7 and P6 age groups get their turn, and the fun event will see 36 teams take part in the festival of rugby with a marquee, bouncy castle, face painter, photographer, burger stand, candy floss, coffee and tuck shop and some great rugby. On Sunday between 10:30am and 3:00pm the P3, P4 and P5 age groups take to the park. Again 36 teams take part with the same facilities as Saturday. All parents, friends and supporters are welcome. |
