01/11/2009 : Gutsy All-Ireland performance

Coleraine departed the All-Ireland Junior Cup on Saturday after staging a strong comeback in the last period of play, Nigel Hall and Aaron Rankin scoring two converted tries, bringing the final score to 24-27.

The final play of the match saw Coleraine with a long range penalty opportunity, Adam Parke giving the ball the legs from the half way line but drifting just wide, denying a full time draw as a climax to an exciting, hard fought game.

Coleraine were pleased to entertain Tullamore president Sean Joyce and his team to a post match dinner.

Coleraine were disappointed with the result but pleased with another strong peformance. Hooker Mark Hunter showed that he was certainly going to get over the disappointment as he came into the bar with an unusual post-match outfit.

This Saturday, November 7, sees the return of the Junior Cup and a home fixture entertaining Rainey Seconds.
